Wayne L. Hetrick Sr. Obituary
HANOVER Wayne L. Hetrick, Sr., 63, entered into God's eternal care, Monday, July 22, 2013, at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center, Hershey. He was the husband of Carol A. (Horst) Hetrick with whom he shared 28 years of marriage. Born November 19, 1949, in Hanover, he was the son of the late Cletus L. and Elizabeth (Winter) Hetrick. Wayne was a 1967 graduate of Hanover High School. He served his country proudly and was a veteran of the United States Navy. During his service in the Navy, he was stationed on the U.S.S. Independence. Mr. Hetrick was the founder and sole-owner of Dutch Country Bakery Products, which he began 19 years ago. Prior to this, he was employed by Utz Quality Foods of Hanover, F.R. Schreiber Company of Lititz and Michele's Family Bakery of York. In addition to his wife, Wayne is survived by his two sons, Wayne L. Hetrick, Jr., Matthew B. Hetrick both of Hanover; two grandsons, Dylan and Derek Hetrick of Washington; brother, Donald L. Hetrick and his wife Lou Ann of Hanover; sister, Nancy L. (Hetrick) Creason of Hanover; nieces, Barbara DeMarco of Pottstown, Heather Stauffer of Hanover, Melissa Creason of York, Dawn Donnelly of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; four grand-nephews and three grand-nieces. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick St., Hanover, with the Rev. Gerald Shoap officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The Hanover Allied Veterans Honor Guard will provide military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Wayne to the .
