YORK James W. Baum, Sr., age 69, died at 6:00 a.m. Sunday, July 28, 2013 at Manor Care health Services North. He was the husband of Shirley A. (Wilhide) Baum. Born April 6, 1944 in York, a son of the late Paul and Pauline Baum, he was retired from Doucette Industries, and prior to that he had worked for Teledyne McKay for 18 years. He also served in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam Era. He was a member of Shiloh American Legion Post 791, and a life member of West York VFW Post 8951. In addition to his wife, Mr. Baum is survived by a daughter, Paula C. Morgan, and her husband Todd, of West York; a son, James W. "Jay" Baum, Jr., and his companion Kelli Bain, of West York; a step daughter, Tina Sterner, and her husband William, of Spring Grove; a step son, Ronald Brady, and his companion Sandy Miller, of Dover; and five grandchildren, Joey Sterner, Jerri Miller, Brittni Morgan, Davey Baum, and Zachary Baum. He was also preceded in death by a step son, Joseph E. Brady. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, August 2, 2013 at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, with military rites presented by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. A memorial service will follow at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Family Worship Center, 150 N. Sumner St., West York. Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 S.
