YORK Dorothy R. Fisher, 91, died Monday, January 27, 2014, at the York Lutheran Home at Sprenkle Drive. She retired from Dentsply after 43 years employment. Prior to retirement in 1984, she worked in the testing department and she was a member of their 25 year club. Dorothy was a graduate of William Penn High School Class of 19M41. She was a member of St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church. Dorothy loved to travel. Born in York, on July 27, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Joel J. Fisher and the late Mary E. (Falkenstine) Hassler. Dorothy leaves a sister, Mildred M. Richardson of York; a brother, Eugene H. Fisher of Las Vegas, Nev.; nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and great-great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Paul J. Fisher. Viewing will be 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday, January 31, 2014, at the Koller Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 2000 W. Market St. in York. The service will follow on Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Officiating will be the Rev. Kevin T. Shively of St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church, with burial in Salem Union Cemetery in Jacobus.
