MANCHESTER Nettie M. Toomey, 67, of Newberry Township, died at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 22, 2014, at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Sterling E. Toomey, Sr. Born August 28, 1946, in York, a daughter of the late Paul and Ruth (Demmit) Renol, she was retired from Mack Trucks in Middletown, where she was employed for 28 years. After retirement, she drove school van for F&S Transportation. She was a member of Greater Grace Church. Mrs. Toomey is survived by two daughters, Lynette Pierce and her husband Timothy, and Virginia Olewiler and her husband Mark, all of Manchester; a stepson, Sterling E. Toomey, Jr.; five stepdaughters, Brenda Rice, Roxanne Bonebreak, Pauline Frizzie, Marlene Heiner and Angie Robinson; three grandchildren, Grace Pierce, Matthew Olewiler, and Cordell Olewiler; and a number of step grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Florence Craig. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at William E. Little Funeral Homes, Inc., 60 S. Main St., Manchester, with the Rev. Richard Rodgers officiating. Viewings will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. KuhnerAssociates.com
