PEQUEA James E. Elliot, 56, formerly of East Prospect, died Saturday, February 15, 2014, at Lancaster General Hospital. Born January 29, 1958, in Columbia, he was the son of Anna L. (Stouffer) Elliot of Hallam and the late Richard P. Elliot, Sr. He had been an order filler and crane operator for Kloeckner Metals Corp. of York. James grew up in Wrightsville and attended St. Peters Elementary School in Columbia. He was a 1975 graduate of Eastern York High School. In addition to his mother, Anna, he is also survived by his girlfriend, Tammy Hart of Pequea; daughter, Jessica Ann and her husband Robert Ayala of Wormleysburg; a son, Christopher James Elliot of York; two grandchildren, Mia and Amara; and three brothers, Richard P. Elliot, Jr. of Columbia, Stephen P. Elliot of Harrisburg, and Mark J. Elliot of York. He was preceded in death by two infant siblings, Dian and Anthony. A memorial service from the Rite of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Our Mother of Holy Purity Chapel, 217 Maple St., Wrightsville, with the rite of interment to follow immediately after the service at St. Mary's Cemetery.
