YORK Sauder William Cummings, 19, of Spring Garden Township, died Friday, February 28, 2014. Born May 10, 1994, in York, son of the late Jack A., Jr. and Shelle L. (Kottmyer) Cummings, he had attended York Suburban Schools and graduated from Manos House Academic School on March 7, 2012. He attended Lighthouse Baptist Church in Dover where he came to know the Lord before his death. Sauder was an avid reader and poet who had a deep desire to create unique jewelry. His kind and gentle spirit could light up a room. Where he has gone he is not so small. His soul is as wide as the world is tall. May he rest peacefully in his mother's arms. Sauder is survived by his brother, Brian Barnard, maternal grandparents, Roland and Linda Domkoski, and Terry Kottmyer and companion, Barbara Weitkamp, maternal great-grandparents, Kenneth and Jean Shearer, many aunts, including Ann Strine, uncles, and cousins, all of York. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 7, 2014, at Grace Lutheran Church, 150 Jefferson Ave., York, with The Rev. Dr. Sterling E. Walsh, Jr., pastor of Lighthouse Baptist Church, officiating. Visitation is from 10 to 11 a.m. Arrangements are being handled by Workinger Semmel Funeral Homes and Cremation, Inc., 849 E. Market St., York. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider donations to offset his funeral expenses.
