HELLAM TWP. Bruce Golden, 55, formerly of Jacobus, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 9, 2014, at the Hospice and Community Care of Mt. Joy. He was the loving husband of Ruth E. (Feltenberger) Golden. The couple would have celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary on March 24, 2014. Bruce was born September 22, 1958, in Gettysburg. He was the son of Sheila (Mannahan) Stacks and the late Fredrick Golden. Bruce was a 1976 graduate of Dallastown High School. He worked for Atlantic Caisson as a drill rig operator for 18 years. He was a former volunteer firefighter for the Jacobus Fire Department and enjoyed hunting. His pride and joy on wheels was his 1970 Chevy Nova. Bruce was an animal lover and considered his friends as his own family. He enjoyed life to the fullest extent. In addition to his wife and mother, Bruce is survived by his son, Eric Golden; and his six siblings, Janice Diviney and her husband, Dan, Mark Golden, Gail Koller and her husband, Michael, Tracy Golden, Owen Golden, and Kelly Golden. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. A funeral service to honor Bruce's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 14, 2014, at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc., 104 W. Main St., Dallastown, with Pastor David Moss officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 10 a.m. until the start of the service. Interment will follow in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
