MANCHESTER Joyce R. (Melhorn) Kling, 83, formerly of Manchester, passed away at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, March 23, 2014, at the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown. She was the wife of the late Robert M. Kling, who died on December 29, 2010. Mrs. Kling was born September 16, 1930, in York County and was the daughter of the late George and Edna (Innerst) Melhorn. She was a member of the Susquehanna Lioness Club, White Rose Chapter #360 Order of the Eastern Star, and Christ Lutheran Church in Manchester. Mrs. Kling was an avid card player, enjoyed watching NASCAR, traveling, visits to the family cabin in Michaux State Forest and was know by her loved ones for her great family meals. Mrs. Kling is survived by her daughter, Joan E. Kling and her husband, Michael Thompson of York; her son, Robert R. Kling and his wife, Barbara of Mount Wolf; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Kling was preceded in death by her sister, Phyllis Schlosser. A Celebration of Life service for Mrs. Kling will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Christ Lutheran Church, 60 S. Main St., Manchester. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the church. Private burial will be in Salem Union Church Cemetery in Dover. Officiating at the service will be Pastor Gary George from the Masonic Village. Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., is assisting the family with the arrangements.
