YORK William E. Smith, 53, entered into rest at 9:40 a.m. on Friday, April 4, 2014, at Manorcare Kingston Court. Born January 30, 1961, in York, he was a son of the late Lester M. and Ruth L. (Weaver) Smith, Sr. William had 15 years of service for Pizza Hut. He attended Zion U.M. Church in York. William received support from Bell Socialization Services and participated in the Special Olympics. He also enjoyed attending Camp Pennwood in his younger years, as well as Bible School at Aldersgate U.M. Chuch. William is survived by two sisters, Gloria Weaver of York and Anna May of West York; numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend William's funeral at 11 a.m. and the viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Emig Funeral Home, 47 N. Queen St., Dover. Burial will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. Reda Willis, pastor of Zion U.M. Church.
