MASSILLON, OHIO Beatrice M. Whiteleather, 92, formerly of Wrightsville, died Easter Sunday, April 20, 2014, at Hospitality House in Massillon. She was the wife of the late John Whiteleather. She was born in Hellam on April 28, 1921, a daughter of the late Paul D. and Mabel A. (Sloat) Crumling. Beatrice retired from ITT Grinnell in 1977. She was a long-term member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Wrightsville and a life member of the Abel-Poff-Leithaiser American Legion Post #469 Auxiliary. Mrs. Whiteleather is survived by two daughters, Darlene C. Stermer of Massillon, Ohio, Donna Vee L. Almoney of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Gleason Crumling of Hellam; and two sisters, Pauline Stitely of Mt. Pisgah and Geraldine Snyder of Wrightsville. A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, April 28, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 243 Hellam St., Wrightsville, with her pastor, the Rev. Barbara A. Caruana officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. A viewing will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
