YORK Larry E. Paup, 76, entered into rest Thursday April 24, 2014, at York Hospital. He was the husband of the late Marlene M. (Nogle) Paup. A viewing will be 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 2114 W. Market St. The funeral service will begin at 6 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Thomas Bellis officiating. Mr. Paup was born September 5, 1937, in York, a son of the late Richard E. and Frances (Rentzel) Paup. He had been a grocery store butcher and later retired from York Wallpaper Co. He served as steward of the West York VFW post. He was a 1955 graduate of West York High School. Larry loved to read books and traveling to Tennesee. Most of his life was dedicated to golf. He enjoyed playing it, talking about it, watching it on TV and mostly helping many with their game. He was a member of the West York VFW, the Viking AA, and 13th Ward and Vigilant Social Clubs. Larry is survived by his daughters, Debra S. Locke, and Sharon K. Eyler and her husband Steve; grandchildren, Jimmy Locke, Sam Eyler, Seth Eyler, and Casey Lehr; and his friend, Carlyn Dentler. He was preceded in death by a sister, Jacqueline Feeser; and a son-in-law, James Locke. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Village Library, 35-C N.
