YORK Richard O. Cary, 48, died on Saturday, April 27, 2014, in the Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. He was born in York, the son of Joanne E. Eaton of York and Richard O. Cary, Sr., who died in 1995. He is survived by his daughter, Paris J. Cary of York; his stepfather, Robert L. Eaton of York; his aunt and uncle, Robert and Mary Bacon of Elkland; his stepgrandmother, Helen Eaton of Manchester; his brother-in-law, John King of York; and his nephews, Derrick and Bryce King of York. Richard was predeceased by his sister, Debbie J. King, in 2012. Richard was a 1993 graduate of York Vo-Tech and a member of Hawk Gunning Club, 9th Ward Democratic Club, Sons of the Legion-Pleasureville American Legion Post #799, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #556, H.O.G. (Harley Owners Group) and ABATE. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday May 2, 2014, at the Etzweiler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1111 E. Market St., York. A viewing will be held on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. The Rev. Franklin N. Miller, pastor of the Pleasureville United Methodist Church, will officiate the service. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery.
