WEST YORK Lois S. Baker, 84, died Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at her residence. Lois was employed for several years in sewing factories in the York area. She later became a nursing assistant at the York Lutheran Homem retiring in 1995. Following retirement, she was actively involved with the Senior Companion Program through Lutheran Social Services. Lois was a member of First St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church MO Synod. Born in York, on May 10, 1929, she was the daughter of the late J. Clair and Marie (Dallmeyer) Stauffer. She leaves a son, John Stauffer Baker of East Berlin; a daughter, Claireann Haines of North Carolina; a son-in-law, Terry Haines of Hanover; four grandchildren, Jeff Baker, Matthew Baker, Bev Shellenberger, and Holly Mitchell; several great-grandchildren; two sisters, Doris Rugh of York and Lynn Feeser of Hanover; and numerous nieces and nephews. Viewing will be 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at First St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church MO Synod, 140 W. King St. in York. The service will follow at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the church with the Rev. James Driskell officiating. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery. The Koller Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 2000 W.
