YORK Richard (Dick) Paul Kling, 82, passed away on Friday, May 2, 2014. He was born in York, on November 26, 1931, to the late Paul and Mary (Spangler) Kling. Dick graduated from William Penn High School in 1949 and received a bachelor of arts degree in social studies from Gettysburg College in 1953. He was a Corporal in the Army during the Korean War and served with the 8132nd Army unit of the Port Operation in Inchon, Korea. He retired from Department of Environment Resources (Commonwealth of PA). Dick is survived by his wife, Gail Marie Koch Huber Kling; one daughter, Beth Kling Scearce of Laurel, Md.; and four stepchildren, Elizabeth (Huber) Heintzelman of London, England, David Huber of York, Katherine (Huber) Cardello of York, and Robert Huber of York. He is also survived by eight stepgrandchildren and three step great-granddaughters. The funeral will take place at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at Etzweiler Funeral Home and Cremation Service at 1111 E. Market St., York. The viewing will be at 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Salem Union Cemetery in Dover with a Flag Folding Ceremony by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Memorial contributions may be made to , 924-N Colonial Ave., York, PA 17403.
