JACOBUS Teresa Ann Hruz Dillon, 47, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at her home. Viewings will be held from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, May 11, at J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 12, at St. Joseph Church, 251 E. Main St., Dallastown, with the Rev. John McCloskey officiating. Interment will follow the service at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, York. Born October 6, 1966, in Baltimore, Md., Teresa was the daughter of Patrick L. and Dorothy H. (Lewis) Hruz of Jacobus. The mother of Eric and Andrew Dillon, Teresa attended St. Joseph Catholic School in Dallastown and graduated from York Catholic High School in 1984. She also graduated from Head Hunters Academy of Cosmetology and owned a hair salon for several years before changing careers to work as a mental health professional for Lincoln Intermediate Unit No. 12 in York. She was a longtime community volunteer, having served with the Jacobus Lioness Club. She enjoyed gardening, scrapbooking, and visiting Ocean City, Md. She cherished her sons, her family, and her friends, and had an incomparable zest for life. In addition to her parents and children, she is survived by her fiance, Mark Davis of Maryland; two sisters, Judith Hruz of Rockville, Md., and Donna Hruz of Red Lion; a brother, Patrick Hruz of Harrisburg; a niece, Emily Hruz of Red Lion; and many other family members and friends.
