RED LION Marjorie J. (Kell) Christine, 67, passed peacefully into eternity on Sunday, May 18, 2014, at home following a heroic battle with cancer. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 24, 2014 at Praise Community Church, 705 S. Ogontz St., York, with her pastor, Bill Plitsch, officiating. Visitation with the family will be immediately prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, is in charge of arrangements. Born March 30, 1947, in Chambersburg, a daughter of the late J. Robert and Jean (Keller) Kell, she earned both her undergraduate and Master's degrees in education at Shippensburg University. Marj retired from Central York High School in 2013, where she taught Business Education for thirteen years. Previously she taught at both Christian School of York and West York High School. Marj also volunteered for many years with WellSpan Health and was active with the Equine Singers group. Marj is survived by a daughter, Carrie A. Christine of Columbus, Ohio; two sons, Benjamin D. Christine and Bradford G. Christine, both of York; two brothers, James L. Kell of Seven Valleys and Richard L. Kell of Chambersburg; a sister, Ann (Kell) Stumbaugh of Chambersburg; her mother-in-law, Evelyn (Gardner) Christine of York; and her faithful dog, Katie.
