YORK Born November 7, 1942, in York, Nancy was the daughter of the late John E. Mader and Grace L. (Sloat) Mader Senft. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Vernon O. Fishel. Also surviving are her two children, Jeffrey L. Fishel and his spouse, Miles Fishel, and Sheri L. Andrews and her spouse, Christopher J. Andrews. She will always be remembered as a loving and devoted nanny to her grandchildren, Kyle, Karley, and Keira Andrews, children of Sheri and Chris Andrews; and Gavin Fishel, son of Jeff Fishel and Ahlaina Worden, daughter of Miles Fishel. Nancy is also survived by her brother, William G. Mader and his wife, Brenda Brown Mader; her niece, Kimberly Slonaker, and her nephew, John Mader. Also surviving are a brother-in-law, Harry O. Fishel of Las Vegas, Nev., and nephew, Tommy Fishel of Dawsonville, Ga. She was a 1960 graduate of York Suburban High School where she participated in various sports and theater. She furthered her education at Thompson Business College. After several accounting positions she held the position of Credit Manager at Red Lion Controls for the past 30 years, retiring in July 2013. She was devoted to her hundreds of International Customers, making permanent business relations and friendships with many of them. Nancy was a life long and very active member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church of York. A funeral service will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 839 W. Market St., York, with her pastor, the Rev. Kevin T. Shively, officiating. Burial will follow in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 839 W. Market St., York, PA 17401; or Hospice and Community Care, 224 St. Charles Way, Suite 200, York, PA 17402.
