RED LION Juliet J. (Oberlander) Stump, 96, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 30, 2014, at the Haven at Springwood, with her loving family by her side. She was the loving wife of the late Emanuel L. Stump to whom she was married for 45 years. Born December 9, 1917, in Felton, she was a daughter of the late George W. and Alice M. (Gardner) Oberlander. Juliet was employed by Stewartstown Sewing Factory for several years. She then worked for 30 years as a floral designer at various flower shops in the area. Juliet was in her eighties when she retired. Mrs. Stump was a longtime member of Christ Lutheran Church, Dallastown and American Legion Post 605 Auxiliary. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed car trips with her niece, Mary Fuhrman, and loved to play cards with Mary and their friends. She is survived by her daughter, Darlene Bilbie of Red Lion; three grandsons, Christopher Bilbie and his wife Cynthia of Shrewsbury, Michael Bilbie and his wife Kristen of Pittsburgh, and Stephen and his wife Cherie of Ellington, Conn. Juliet was also survived by six great-grandchildren, Nathan, Aaron, and Seth, of Shrewsbury, Mikayla of Pittsburgh, and Hanna and Andrew of Ellington, Conn.; as well as nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Juliet was preceded in death by three sisters and five brothers. A service to celebrate the life of Juliet J. Stump will be held Thursday, June 5, 2014 at 2 p.m. at the Christ Lutheran Church, 126 W. Main St., Dallastown, with the Rev. Lawrence A. Cunnings officiating. A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity to view will be from 1 p.m. until the time of service at the church. Burial will be in Salem Union Cemetery, Jacobus.
