MANCHESTER Louise Mae Updegraff Sharp, 88, died at 10:05 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at Manor Care Health Services South. She was the wife of the late Elias Updegraff and the late William B. Sharp. Born July 13, 1925, in York Haven, a daughter of the late Charles H. and Elizabeth (Shuler) Coble, she was a homemaker who also worked at Northeastern High School and Animal Medic, both in Manchester. She was a former member of the Brethren Church of Mahaffey and attended St. Paul United Methodist Church in Manchester. Mrs. Sharp is survived by two sons, Dennis Updegraff of Arizona, and David Updegraff and his wife, Debra of Red Lion; two daughters, Mary Hartz and her husband, Fred of Duncannon, and Janet Strickhouser and her husband, Todd of Manchester; a stepson, William Sharp and his wife, Marsha of Manchester; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Charles V. Coble and his wife, Myrtle. She was also preceded in death by her brother, George Coble. A funeral service in celebration of her life is scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at William E. Little Funeral Home, Inc., 60 S. Main St., Manchester, with her Pastors, The Rev. Charles Sprenkle and The Rev. Darby Nace, officiating. Viewing will be 10 to 11 a.m. Private burial will be in Paddletown Cemetery, Newberrytown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to . KuhnerAssociates.com
