YORK Eric H. Hameier, 76, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at Hospice and Community Care Center in Mount Joy. Born in Rahway, N.J., he resided in Woodbridge, N.J., for most of his life before moving to York eight years ago. Mr. Hameier owned and operated Eric Hameier Painting in Woodbridge for many years until retiring in 1981. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Woodbridge. Mr. Hameier was predceased by his wife, Jean Wells Hameier in 2000; his parents, Eric and Margaret Hagadorn Hameier; and a sister, Janet Thompson. He is survived by two daughters, Kim Skodmin and her husband, Troy of Jackson, N.J., and Erica Emrich and her husband, Frank of Crewe, Va.; two sons, David Hameier and his wife, Donna of Somerset, N.J., and Kurt Hameier of York; four sisters, Nancy Russell of Basking Ridge, N.J., Patricia Adomilli of Teaneck, N.J., Ellen Sides of New Hope, Pa., and Sharon Allen of Rahway, N.J.; nine granchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral will take place on Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at 9:15 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green St. at Barron Ave. in Woodbridge, N.J. A funeral service will follow at 10 a.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, Woodbridge. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
