YORK Efram L. Shockley, 46, died Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at his home. He was the husband of Kimberly A. (Ketterman) Shockley, his wife of eight years. Efram was born May 17, 1968, in Cape May Court House, N.J., the son of the late Leon R. and Emma Mae (Pinkard) Shockley. Efram loved the Lord and attended several churches in the York area. He was a "jack of all trades" and known for his talents of upholstery, construction, and working on cars. In addition to his wife, Kimberly, Efram is survived by four stepdaughters, Tina Brewer of Gettysburg, Patsy Leggett of Biglerville, Jennifer Carey of Gettysburg, and Jamie Carey of New Oxford; seven step grandchildren; two brothers, Mario Shockley of York and Aaron Shockley of Atlanta, Ga.; six sisters, Cordelia Cisco of South Carolina, Deborah Hawkins of New Jersey, Kim Edwards of Texas, Alvita Parson of York, Gilda Montero of New Jersey, and Zimmeretta Shelia Williams of Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased in death by a brother, Leon Shockley, Jr. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 20, 2014, at 10 a.m. from the New Covenant Community Church, 701 W. King St., York, with Pastor Rachel J. Baxter and Co-Pastor Anthony W. Sease officiating. Burial will be at the New Oxford Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. A viewing will held Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Feiser Funeral Home, Inc., 302 Lincolnway West, New Oxford, and on Friday at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
