II HELLAM Gerald C. Latshaw II, 46, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2014, at M.S. Hershey Medical Center. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, June 20, 2014 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York, with the Rev. Jeffrey C. Compton and Mr. Larry McDaniel officiating. A viewing will be held from 12 to 1 p.m. Friday at the Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Born September 13, 1967, in York, a son of the late Mary Ann Dively and Gerald C. Latshaw, Sr., he was a 1987 graduate of Dover Area High School and had worked for the then Hoover Wilbert Burial Vault Co. Gerald loved to cook and had been a chef at various local restaurants including Wendy's, KFC, and the Eagle's Nest. He enjoyed working with model trains and earned the Eagle Scout award from Boy Scouts of America. Gerald had also served in the Army National Guard. Mr. Latshaw is survived by two sisters, Elizabeth R. Latshaw of Hellam and Rebecca I. Latshaw-Vega and husband Bartolo of Kingston, N.C.; a niece, Ashley E. Latshaw; two nephews, Johnny Latshaw and Gerald C. Latshaw III; a great niece, Grace E. Brittain; an uncle, Harry Latshaw of York; and an aunt, Marjorie Beegle of Bedford.
