MANHEIM Miriam K. Kemp, 88, formerly of Manchester, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 13, 2014, at Pleasant View Retirement Community in Manheim. She was the wife of Edward Leonard Kemp, who passed away in 1999. Born July 14, 1925 in New Holland, a daughter of the late Daniel W. and Lillie (Wingenroth) Snader, she was a homemaker most of her life and was a loving mother to her two sons. Prior to the birth of her children, she had worked for RCA. She enjoyed attending Grace Brethren Church, where she was a member, as well as singing hymns. Mrs. Kemp is survived by two sons, David L. Kemp of Mount Wolf, and Kenneth E. Kemp of Wellsville; four sisters, Annabelle Bedi, of Manheim, Lois Eaby, and her husband Lloyd, of Ephrata, Lillian Wiegand, and her husband Fred, of Lititz, and Gloria Nauman, and her husband Wilbur, of Ephrata; and two brothers, James Snader, and his wife Lillie, of Brickerville, and Samuel Snader of Hopeland. She was also preceded in death by five sisters, Esther Baer, Pauline Ruhl, Florence Alexander, Josephine Sprecher, and Doris Groff. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday at William E. Little Funeral Homes, Inc., 60 S. Main St., Manchester, with her former Pastor, The Rev. Daniel White, officiating. Viewing will be 9 to 10 a.m. Burial will be in Suburban Memorial Gardens.
