DOVER Norman W. Mann, 94, entered into rest at 5:30 a.m. on Monday, June 16, 2014, at his home. He was the loving husband of Norma J. (Motter) Mann. The couple celebrated 66 years of marriage on February 7, 2014. Born October 16, 1919, in York, Norman was the son of the late Benjamin F. and Catherine R. (Jacoby) Mann. He was a U.S. Army Corporal World War II veteran and served in eight campaigns of the European Theatre. Norman had 30 years of service for Nabisco Pretzel Bakery in York where he was a baker. He was a member of Starview United Church of Christ; a life member of VFW Post 556; and a member of Dover Township Fire Company and Union Fire & Hose Co. #1, Dover. In addition to his wife, Norman is survived by two daughters, Debra G. Hauck and husband, Lewis of Dover and Joyce E. Bankert and husband, Michael of Red Lion; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mabel C. Smith of York. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Norman's funeral at 10 a.m. on Friday at Emig Funeral Home, 47 N. Queen St., Dover. The viewing will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery where veteran's honors will be presented by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Officiating will be the Rev. Barbara A. Barry, pastor of Quickel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Zions View. Memorial contributions may be made in Norman's name to Starview U.C.C., 4832 N. Sherman St. Ext., Mt. Wolf, PA 17347.
