III YORK William J. "Joe" Norbeck, III, died on Friday, June 20, 2014, at his home. He was the husband of Kimberly Jane (Adams) Norbeck. Born in York on May 4, 1959, he was the son of the late William J. Norbeck, Jr. and the late Loma Dale (Flohr) Norbeck. He was a 4th generation plumber working at the Stauffer Co. for over 30 years. Joe was a graduate of York Vo-Tech. He was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church; was a Boy Scout Leader at Troop 10; was a member of the Victory AA Club: the Good Sam's Camping Club (Rambling Division); and was a former member of the South End Democratic Club. He was an avid fisherman. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sisters, Carol Susan Norbeck, Pamela D. Copenhaver, and Amy J. Mummert, all of York, a brother, Douglas E. Norbeck of Murray, Ky.; his stepchildren, H. Robert Schumacher, III and Jarius N. Adams, both of California; an aunt, Phyllis Flohr of King George, Va.; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by an uncle, Morris T. Flohr, II. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the Etzweiler Funeral Home, 1111 E. Market St., York, with a viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family. www.etzweiler.com
