GLEN ROCK George F. Tracey, Sr. 79, died Saturday, June 21, 2014, at his home. He was the husband of Clara E. (Roach) Tracey, with whom he celebrated a 58th Wedding anniversary this past September 14th. Following cremation, a time of gathering for family and friends to celebrate his life will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 29, 2014 at Gifford Pinchot State Park, Lewisberry. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. The Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock, is assisting the family. George was born in Freeland, Md. on November 17, 1934, a son of the late Elmer C. and Ida J. (Sutherland) Tracey. He was self-employed and enjoyed fishing, playing cards and shooting pool. Besides his wife, he also leaves six children, George F. Tracey Jr., Tammy J. Woodring, both of York, Terry E. Tracey of Shrewsbury, Jean M. Tracey of Strinestown, Patricia A. Wilson of Red Lion, and Louie A. Tracey of Hanover; 20 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Kenneth E. Tracy of York. He was predeceased by a son, Paul D. Tracey; and a brother, Joseph A. Tracey. The family requests no flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
