YORK Frances L. (Walters) Brenneman, 95, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at Pleasant Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Eugene J. Brenneman. Frances was born in Seven Valleys, May 2, 1919, daughter of the late Harry and Gertrude (Gladfelter) Walters. Mrs. Brenneman was employed as a cook for the New Salem Elementary School and was a cookie packer for D.F. Stauffer. Survivors include a son, Gary L. Brenneman of York; two daughters, Julia K. Rawlings of Dallastown, and Lorna M. Wolf and her husband, Jay of Florida; four grandchildren, Pamela Toomey, Tina Stryker and her husband, Bruce, Darin Doll, and Sherry Brenneman; three great-grandchildren, Justin and Joe Mong, and Brock Stryker; two great-great-grandchildren, Deric and Airin Mong; and a sister, Helen Stough. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sonja Sharp; four sisters, Edith Walters, Grace Minnich, Ann Bortner, and Louise Veney; and three brothers, George, John, and Wilson Walters. All services will be private at the convenience of the family.
