YORK Richard A. Arter, Sr., 60, entered into rest on July 1, 2014, at York Hospital. He was the husband of Christine (Goldsborough) Arter. Richard was born in Mineral Wells, Texas, the son of Bertha E. (Gorsuch) Arter Black of Littlestown and the late Robert A. Arter. Richard had worked for Goodyear and later for Warner's Mayflower as a truck driver. A viewing will be 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the John W. Keffer Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 902 Mt. Rose Avenue, with a funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. with the Ministers from the Power For Freedom Ministries officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Rose Cemetery. Including his wife and mother, Richard is also survived by two sons, Richard A. Arter, Jr. and his wife Jane of Red Lion, Jacob H. Arter of York; and a stepdaughter, Melissa Sheaffer of York; four grandchildren, Autum, Austan, Amberley and Cameron.
