WHITE HALL, MD Jeanie (McDade) Moore, 76, died Sunday, July 6, 2014, at the University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore, Md. A visitation will be Friday, July 11, 2014 from 4 to 7 p.m. at J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom. A funeral service will begin at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 12, 2014 at the mortuary, with the Rev. Melissa A. McDade and Pastor Shannon E. Sullivan officiating. Burial will be in McKendree Cemetery in White Hall, Md. at the convenience of the family. Jeanie was born July 24, 1937, in Baltimore City, Md., a daughter of the late Joseph J. and Ethel E. (Blickenstaff) McDade. She was the wife of the late Warren E. Moore. Jeanie was a member of Jarrettsville United Methodist Church in Maryland, and was Secretary for McKendree Cemetery in White Hall, Md. She was an alumni of the first graduating class of Hereford High School Class of 1955, and she assisted in the iconic design of the class ring. She previously worked for the Department of Natural Resources in Madonna's Fire Tower in Maryland. Jeanie earned her hairdressing license in 1976 and continued to style hair all her life. She was an avid traveler, a "meticulous" housekeeper, and a great cook. She always opened her heart and home for friend and stranger alike. Jeanie was a wonderful Grammy and will be sadly missed. Jeanie is survived by four children, Richard B. "Rick" Moore and his wife, Donna of Palm Bay, Fla., Michael Girken and his wife, Karen of Perry Hall, Md., Denise Zink and her husband, Mike of White Hall, Md., Becky Moore of Cockeysville, Md., and an "adopted" daughter, Robyn Dawson and her husband, Tom of Australia. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Brian, Nicholas, Nicole, Cody, Abby, Christopher, Samuel, and Dama; two brothers, Morris McDade and his wife, Carol of Hereford, Md., and Raymond McDade and his wife, Candice of Hanover. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Joseph McDade, and a dear lifelong friend, Joan Cummings Ensor. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jeanie's name may be made to Jarrettsville United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 95, Jarrettsville, MD 21084; or Norrisville United Methodist Church, P.O.
