YORK Sarah "Jane" (Keefer) Schroyer, 54, entered into rest at 8:50 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2014, at York Hospital. She was the fiancee of Dennis M. Toomey. They were together 16 years. Born December 26, 1959, in York, Jane was a daughter of Shirley M. (Knisley) Keefer of Manchester and the late Robert E. Keefer, Sr. She was a step-daughter of the late Bruce F. Keefer. Jane was a 1977 graduate of Central York High School. She had four years of service for Family Heirloom Weavers in Red Lion, where she was a talented sewing machine operator. Jane enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with her granddaughters. She also had bowled in a women's league at Suburban Bowlerama. In addition to her fiance and mother, Jane is survived by two children, Jesse L. Witmer of Red Lion and Julie A. Schroyer and companion, Roger Roseberry of York; a step-son, Bryan Toomey of San Diego, Calif.; three granddaughters, Trinity Witmer, Makya Witmer and Breauna Roseberry; three sisters, Louise M. Bender and husband, Terry of Manchester, Wanda L. Keefer of Virginia and Sandra A. Keefer of Manchester; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Robert E. Keefer, Jr. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Jane's funeral at 12 noon with a viewing from 11 a.m. to 12 noon on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Emig Funeral Home, 47 N. Queen St., Dover. Burial will follow in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Officiating will be the Rev. Bonnie J. Whittier, pastor of Christ U.C.C. in Jefferson.
