SPRING GROVE Marlet R. Rohrbaugh, 75, passed away at home with his family by his side on Saturday, July 19, 2014. He was the loving husband of Joann S. (Swemly) Rohrbaugh. Together they shared over 55 years of marriage. Marlet was born in Brodbecks, on September 27, 1938, and was the son of the late Norman S. and Nova R. (Kaltreider) Rohrbaugh. He graduated from Susquehannock High School class of 1957 and worked for Hanover Foods Inc. for over 50 years. He was a member of West York Church of the Brethren, the American Antique Automobile Club of Hershey, Gettysburg Region AACA, and York Auto Clubs. He was also a member of the Spring Grove Area Historical and Preservation Society, the Jefferson AARP #3699, and a board member of Windy Hill on the Campus. He enjoyed antique cars and trains, and traveling with his wife, but cherished the time he spent with his family and grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Joann, he is survived by his daughter, Sherry Waltemyer and husband, Richard of York; his son, Terry Rohrbaugh and wife, Kelly of York; his grandchildren, Adam Therit and Lukas Rohrbaugh; and his stepgrandson, Richard Waltemyer, Jr. He is also survived by his sister, Machree Baumgardner and husband, Harry; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Laura Summers. A funeral service in celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at West York Church of the Brethren, 5101 Darlington Road, York, with Pastors Gregory Jones and Omer King officiating. He will be laid to rest following the service at Marburg Memorial Gardens in Hanover. Viewings will be held on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Irwin-Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service Inc., 175 N Main St., Spring Grove, and on Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.
