PARKTON, MD Marsha Arlene Mixter, 65, died Friday, July 18, 2014, at Howard County General Hospital in Columbia, Md. She was the wife of the late Ronald Lee Mixter. There will be a viewing from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom. The funeral service will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary with the Rev. Melissa A. McDade officiating. Interment will be private. Born November 1, 1948, in Confluence, Pa., Marsha was the daughter of the late Gerald Eugene and Jessie (Younkin) Yeager. Marsha was a 1966 graduate of Hereford High School in Hereford, Md. She retired from Black & Decker in 2011 after 30 years working as a systems analyst. Marsha was a social member of Parkton American Legion Post 256 and the New Freedom V.F.W. Post 7012, where she was active in the shuffleboard club. She enjoyed crocheting, bingo, and poker machines. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandma, sister, aunt, and devoted friend to many. Surviving are her daughter, Tracy M. Trout and her husband, Ronald T., Jr. of New Park; grandson, Ronald T. Trout, III of New Park; granddaughter, Courtney T. Trout of New Park; sisters, Carolyn Sage and Diane Sterner, and brother, Jerry Yeager, Jr., all of Confluence. She is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends, especially her best friend, "Izzy" the cat.
