MECHANICSBURG Lloyd K. Firestone, 91, of Messiah Village, and formerly of Dover, passed away Thursday at Messiah Village. Lloyd was the widower of F. Naomi (Fetrow) Firestone. He was born November 4, 1922, in Dillsburg, the son of the late Bruce and Gretna (Sheely) Firestone. He retired from P.A. & S. Small Co. in York after 35 years. He served his country in the U.S. Army during W.W. II. Lloyd was a member of St. Michaels Lutheran Church in Rossville and a former member of Pinchot Park Lions Club. He is survived by one son, Timothy S. Firestone of Dover; two daughters, Joann M. Pifer of Dillsburg and Debra J. Barrett of Wellsville; one sister, Marie Danner of Dover. Lloyd also leaves behind eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg. Burial with full military honors provided by the York Country Veterans Honor Guard will be held in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dillsburg. A viewing will be held Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the St. Michaels Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 120, Rossville, PA 17358.
