MANCHESTER Blanche E. Lawrence, 94, died at 7 a.m. Saturday, August 16, 2008, at Autumn House East. She was the wife of the late John E. Lawrence, Sr. Born in Adams County, a daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Messinger) Rose, she was a homemaker. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Manchester, and enjoyed gardening, cooking, and baking, and above all, loved her family and God. Mrs. Lawrence is survived by a daughter, Elaine L. Danley and her husband, Bob of Red Lion; a son, John E. Lawrence, Jr. and his wife, Joanne of York; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Dorothy Harbold and Betty Winkler, both of York. Graveside funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at Mount Rose Cemetery with her pastor, the Rev. Greg B. Lindsey, officiating. William E. Little Funeral Homes, Inc., 60 S.
