YORK Charles E. Laipple, 91, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2011, at Lutheran Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Sprenkle Drive. He was the husband of Margaret Elizabeth (Grove) Laipple, who passed away June 1, 2008. Mr. Laipple was born in Pittsburgh, on July 8, 1919. He was the son of the late William G. and Emmeline (McQuown) Laipple. A graveside service will be held 1:30 p.m. Monday at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Gustaf Steinhilber officiating. The Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc., 104 W. Main St., Dallastown, is in charge of arrangements. If planning to attend, please meet at the cemetery entrance at 1:15 p.m. Mr. Laipple was veteran of the United Stated Navy serving during World War II. He was a steamfitter working in the plumbing industry and was a member of Local 420 prior to his retirement. Charles is survived by a two daughters, Vivian Brown of Guys Mills and Pamella Marcus of Jacksonville, Fla.; one son, Douglas Laipple of Rome, Ga.; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
