YORK Roy W. Sauder, 84, died on Thursday, January 19, 2012, at 1:05 p.m. at his home. He was the husband of Sandra L. (Murr) Sauder with whom he celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary on September 24, 2011 and the late Orpha P. (Gable) Sauder. Viewing will be from 9 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 25, 2012, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (Missouri Synod), 2121 Roosevelt Ave., York. The service will follow at 11 a.m. with his pastor, the Rev. Skip Nizinski, officiating. Burial will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Workinger-Semmel F.H. & Crematorium, Inc., York is handling the arrnagements. Mr. Sauder was born February 10, 1927, in Lancaster County, and was the son of the late John G. and Elizabeth M. (Wiker) Sauder. He was a retired truck driver having worked for P.A.& S. Small Co. and Thomas Somerville Co. for 37 years and then for Fed-Ex and was a member of Good Shepherd Luthern Church. Mr. Sauder is survived by his wife; five sons, Daniel G. Sauder of Dover, Timothy G. Sauder of York Haven, Nathan G. Sauder and Joel G. Sauder both of York, and Luke G. Sauder of Mount Wolf; three granddaughters; three brothers, Wilmer G. Sauder of Sarasota, Fla., Melvin G. Sauder of Selinsgrove, and Lloyd G. Sauder of Mountville; and two sisters, Ruth Matthews of Selinsgrove and Helen Nolt of New Holland. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wellspan VNA Home Care, 540 S. George St., P.O. Box 2404, York, PA 17403; or to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 2121 Roosevelt Ave., York, PA 17408.
