YORK Evelyn E. Eyler, 87, of Normandie Ridge, died at 8:05 a.m. Tuesday at Normandie Ridge. She was the wife of the late Fern E. "Bud" Eyler. Born May 20, 1924, in Newberry Township, a daughter of the late Clarence L. and Mary E. (Schubauer) Crone, she retired in 1982 following 22 years of employment with Dentsply International. She was a member of Saint Paul United Methodist Church in Manchester, and she enjoyed crocheting and reading. Mrs. Eyler is survived by a son, Lee J. Eyler of Wrightsville; three daughters, Norene L. Johnston of Manchester, and Diane P. Schroeder and Brenda L. Frigm, both of Florida; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Pauline E. Gingrich of York; a brother, John W. Kuhn of York; and her beloved cat, Abby. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Ruth A. Wagner. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Saturday at William E. Little Funeral Homes, Inc., 60 S. Main St., Manchester, with her pastor, The Rev. Chuck Sprenkle, officiating. Viewing will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery.
