DOVER Ronald E. Peters, 71, died at 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at his home. He was the loving husband of Mary Lou (Coover) Peters. The couple observed their 47th wedding anniversary on May 9, 2011. He was born January 18, 1941 in Gettysburg, a son of the late Hector G. and Chloe (Walker) Peters. Ronald retired in 2000 following 27 years of service for Caterpillar. He previously delivered milk in the Red Lion area. Ronald had attended First Assembly of God in York and enjoyed working on cars. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Kathy Fitz and husband, Harold of Waynesboro; a son, David Peters and wife, Charlene of East York; five grandchildren, Eric, Rachel, Jordan, Chloe and Lindy; three step grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Patty Peters of Hershey; nephew, Scott; and niece, Judy. He was preceded in death by his brother, Fred Peters. There will be no viewing. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Ronald's graveside service at 1 p.m. on Monday, April 16, 2012 in Suburban Memorial Gardens, Dover. Officiating will be Dan Katz, Pastor of Student Ministry at Grace Fellowship. Emig Funeral Home, Dover, is in charge of arrangements.
