KRALLTOWN Ronald L. Wallace, 73, passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2012, surrounded by his family and friends at his son's residence in Dillsburg. Ron was the widower of Ethel (Fleming) Wallace. He was born August 29, 1939, in Carlisle, the son of the late John P. and Pauline R. (Baker) Wallace. Ron was the former owner and operator of the South Mountain Dragway for 36 years and retired from Pittsburgh Crankshaft, Inc., Harrisburg. He finished his career working part-time for his son at Susquehanna Valley Insulators, In., Dillsburg. He is survived by his loving children, Tammy E. Wallace of York and Brian L. Wallace of Dillsburg; his two grandchildren, Brandon L. Wallace and Jarred M. Wallace of Dillsburg; and his buddies, George and Buddy. Services will be held Monday, October 15, 2012, at 12 noon in the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg, with the Rev. Dan Laterza officiating. Burial will follow in the Red Run Cemetery, East Berlin. Viewings will be held Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. and on Monday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the funeral home.
