JAMESTOWN, RI Doris E.K. Dobbins, 83, formerly of Mountville, beloved wife of the late Gordon D. Dobbins, Sr., passed away Friday September 28, 2012, at home surrounded by her loving family after struggling valiantly with health complications for several months. Born on July 27, 1929, in Salisbury, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Juanita and Allen Wright Klutz. Doris is survived by her children, Doreatha V. Jacobs of Baltimore, Md., G. David Dobbins, Jr. of York, Deborah E. Dobbins and her husband, Thomas M. Pasquale of Jamestown, R.I., and Dean W. Dobbins and his wife, Terry of York; three grandchildren, Nicole R. Criniti, Basil A. Dobbins, and John F. Hughes, IV; and six great-grandchildren, Cailyn, Devin, and Connor Criniti, and Caden, Landon, and Makenna Dobbins. She is also survived by Basil Wissner and his wife, Mary Jane of Eden Prairie, Minn.; her niece and nephews, Trisha, Robert, and Michael, and their mother, Jackie Klutz. Doris was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Klutz of Baltimore, Md. Doris was an active member of The Episcopal Church of St. John the Baptist in York for over 40 years until her move to Jamestown, R.I., where she attended St. Matthews Episcopal Church. Doris leaves her family with the knowledge that they were unconditionally loved and the comfort in knowing that she is finally reunited with the love of her life. There will be a private ceremony for immediate family at St. Matthews Episcopal Church in Jamestown, R.I. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Semper Fi Fund.
