YORK Charles J. Croney, 57, passed away peacefully at his residence on Sunday, November 4, 2012. He was the loving husband of Diane F. (Kanaly) Croney, with whom he celebrated their 27th wedding anniversary on September 28, 2012. Mr. Croney was born in Baltimore, Md., on October 27, 1955, son of the late Edward J. and Catherine M. (Roeder) Croney. Charlie was fomerly employed as a Construction Manager for many years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his four loving children, Nicole A. Newman and her husband, Michael of Michigan, Brendan C., Erin M., and Kendal A. Croney, all of York; three sisters, Mary Kay Willing and her late husband, Walter of Maryland, Terri M. Seibold of Texas, and Anita E. Otterson and her husband, Bill of Texas; a brother, Edward J. Croney, Jr. and his wife, Nancy of Texas; and Elizabeth "Aunt Liz" Turnbaugh of Maryland. He was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Ann Caldwell. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, November, 9, 2012, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 944 W. Market St., York. Celebrant will be Father Thomas R. Hoke. Charles will be laid to rest at the convenience of the family. There will be a viewing from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the LeRoy R. Leber Funeral Home, Inc., 2290 School St., York (Shiloh). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCan), 2221 Rosecrans Ave., Suite 131, El Segundo, CA 90025.
