YORK Jacqueline J. Toomer, 63, passed away at 8:13 p.m. Sunday, November 11, 2012, in the York Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Rudolph and Pearl Toomer and was born on May 8, 1949. Ms. Toomer graduated from William Penn Sr. High School. She was a crossing guard for the York City School District for many years. She was an avid sports fan and could "Ball" with the best of them. She was a strong woman of God. She leaves to cherish her loving memory a daughter, Jessica J. Toomer; five brothers, Robert Bones (Sandy), George Bell, Mark Wilson, Mike Wilson, and Gregg Wilson; three sisters, Tara "Bim" Wilson-Oden, Loren Staten, and Karen Wilson; one grandson, (King) Solomon Toomer; a host of nephews, nieces, and sisters-in-law. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Rudolph Toomer, Jr., Lonny Bones, Donald Bones, Sr., Leon Bones, and Rick Wilson. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 16, at Boulding Mortuary, Inc., 471 Madison Ave., York. Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery.
