JEFFERSON Andrew Alan Glatfelter, 13, ran into the arms of the Lord on Saturday, November 17, 2012, at his home surrounded by his family from complications due to Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. He was born on February 2, 1999. He was currently in the 8th grade at Spring Grove Middle School where he was on the Distinguished Honor Roll. He loved the study of science, bugs and dinosaurs. Andrew is survived by his loving mother, Cathy Heltzel; his fathe,r Gregory Glatfelter and his little brother, Paul "PJ" Glatfelter of Jefferson; his maternal grandmother, Mildred Glatfelter; his aunts, Rachel Heltzel, Vickie Lauer, Sandra Fry and Bev Gotwalt; his uncles, Sam Heltzel, William Heltzel and Steve Glatfelter and many more aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Alvin Glatfelter and his maternal grandparents, Virginia and Joseph Heltzel. A funeral service in celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Irwin-Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service PC, 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove, with Rev. Bonnie J. Whittier officiating. He will be laid to rest at Salem Union Cemetery in Jacobus. Viewings will be held on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
