James M. Stineman Obituary
PHOENIX, AZ James M. Stineman, 49, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 5, 2012, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on September 12, 1963, son of Milton and Marie Stineman. Jim was the loving husband of Dawn Stineman, to whom he was married for 27 years. He is also survived by two wonderful daughters, Hanna Marie and Kendra Dawn. Jim was a graduate of Elderton High School, Lenape Vo-Tech School, and California State University of Pennsylvania. Jim was an Industrial Technology teacher at Dover High School from 1985 through 1996. Since 1996 Jim owned and operated a custom cabinet and furniture shop with his wife in Phoenix, Ariz. (J. Stineman Cabinetmaker, LLC). Jim was involved with many activities. He loved helping kids, especially with horse activities. At one time or another he volunteered with Make a Wish Foundation of York County, Indian Princesses, 4-H of Maricopa County (Desert Equistars), Scottsdale Saddle Club, and Arizona High School Rodeo Association. Jim enjoyed life. He was an amazing husband, father, son, sibling, friend, teacher, and employer. Jim enjoyed simple things in life such as traveling, hiking, camping, golfing, and hanging out with his family and friends. Most important to him, he loved being with his children. In addition to his parents and immediate family, Jim is survived by his sisters, Mary Ann Morrow and Patricia Stoker (Mark). He is also survived by his in-laws, Dennis and Faye Phillips; sisters-in-law, Wendy Headley (Mike) and Meghen Sowers (Mark); brother-in-law, Dennis Phillips; seven nieces; two nephews; a great-nephew; and a great-niece. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, LeRoy and Luella Stineman and Lloyd and Florence Helman. A Memorial Service will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 9, at Desert View Bible Church, 105 W. Carefree Hwy., Phoenix 85086, with Dave Otto and Dr. Jimmy Merrill officiating. At a later date (Spring 2013), there will be a Memorial Service in Pennsylvania.
