DOVER Anna M. Harbold Campbell, 94, formerly of Mount Rose Avenue, Derry Road in Shiloh, and White Oaks Manor in York died on Saturday, December 15, 2012, at 10:54 a.m. at the Providence Place of Dover where she and her husband lived for more than two years. She was the wife of Clarence E. Campbell, who passed away on June 23, 2012. Anna was born in York New Salem on May 26, 1918, a daughter of the late Curtis E. and Annie R. (Shive) Harbold. She was the youngest of the Harbold's six children. During her lifetime, Mrs. Campbell was a housewife and a mother. During World War II, she worked in a factory that manufactured airplane parts for the war effort. Her volunteer activities included many while living in Spring Garden Township. She was a pianist and violinist and sang in the York Symphony Chorus and church choirs. She loved to Garden and she loved to walk. Her walks with her grandchildren were special. She taught them to enjoy the great outdoors and often visited friends and neighbors in the community. In later years, she loved to chat with friends over coffee at the local McDonalds. Anna was a member of the Women's Auxiliary of the West York VFW Post # 8951. She was a former member of Bethany United Methodist Church and First Presbyterian Church. Most recently, she was a member of Providence Presbyterian Church, where she received years of faithful and loving care from the pastors. The family wishes to thank the staff and caregivers at Providence Place, who went that extra mile for the Campbells. Mrs. Campbell is survived by two daughters, Dianna L. Campbell of Westlake Village, Calif., and Donna C. Miller of York. Also surviving are three granddaughters, one great-grandson and several nieces and nephews that were an important part of her life. A private graveside service will be held in Mount Rose Cemetery. Rev. Darryl MacPherson, her pastor will officiate and Rev. Andrew Phillips will assist.
