DALLASTOWN June I. Sarge, 80, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2012, at the York Hospital. She was the wife of Donald W. Sarge, who died June 2, 2008. She was born November 11, 1932 in York, the daughter of the late George and Miriam (Sterner) Christine. Mrs. Sarge was a homemaker, and had attended Salem Lutheran Church, Jacobus and was a member of the AARP. She is survived by her children, Peggy Thoman and husband, Gregory of Wellsboro, Judy Kerstetter and husband, Keith of York, Joan Gladfelter and husband, Claude of York, Mary Tome and husband, Edward of Brogue, John Kuhn and companion, Judy Burns of York and David Sarge of Dallastown; step-son, Donald Sarge and wife Linda of New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; brother, Patrick Burns and companion Connie Jones of Emigsville; step-sister, Kathy Christine of Rehoboth, Del.; step-brothers, George and Daniel Christine both of York; six grandchildren, Steven Pressel of Harrisburg, Nathan Gladfelter of York, Richard Leighty, Jr. of Stewartstown, Melissa Leighty of Dover, John Allen Kuhn of Green Bay, WI and Alex Kerstetter of York; two step-grandchildren, Todd Thoman of York and Tim Thoman of Windsor; nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her step-grandson, James Huhn. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, 104 W. Main St., Dallastown with Pastor Richard B. Starr officiating. A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will be on Thursday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Dallastown Union Cemetery, Dallastown. Serving as pallbearers will be David Sarge, John Kuhn, Steven Pressel, Nathan Gladfelter, Richard Leighty, Jr. and Alex Kerstetter.
