YORK Richard Wm. Bozart, 57, died Friday, December 21, 2012, at the York Hospital. He was the husband of Kay A. (Criswell) Bozart. The couple observed their 31st wedding anniversary on November 21, 2012. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on July 1, 1955, he was the son of Dorothy Alice (Dickson) Bozart of York and the late Fulton William Bozart, Jr. Richard was employed with York Hospital and Masland Industries in Carlisle. He was a member of Red Mount United Methodist Church in East Berlin. Richard was a graduate of Dallastown High School Class of 1973 and a graduate of Clarion University Class of 1977. He was an Eagle Scout with Troop #17 and an assistant scout master with Troop #17 and Troop #94. He lead a group of scouts at the Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico. He was a 32nd Degree Mason with the White Rose Masonic Lodge. When his children were younger, he was active coaching youth sports. He enjoyed the outdoors - camping, hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling with his children - and he enjoyed their family trip to Australia. He loved his rescued animals. In addition to his wife and his mother, he leaves a daughter, Katie A. Smith and her husband, Jonathan; a son, Matt W. Bozart; his twin brother, Robert A. Bozart; and his sister, Suzanne C. Bozart. Viewing will be 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday, December 24, 2012, at Red Mount United Methodist Church, 1883 Baltimore Pike, East Berlin 17316. The service will follow on Monday at 11 a.m. at the church with the Rev. Matthew J. Loyer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery at Red Mount Cemetery.
