YORK Joanne M. Holtzer, 75, died peacefully on Thursday, December 20, 2012, after a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of James A. Holtzer for more than 54 years. She was the daughter of the late Joseph T. and Anna Marie (Helfrich) Little; mother of her loving flock, Mark (Chrissie) of Derwood, Md., Matthew (Karen) of Alpharetta, Ga., Michael (Robyn) of Sydney, Australia, and Catherine (Gerard Boarman) of Ellicott City, Md.; grandmother of her cherished grandchildren, Marybeth, Alexandra, David, James, Austin, Stefanie, Henry, and Jake; and beloved sister of Maryellen Lilley of Waldorf, Md. Joanne was a 1954 graduate of York Catholic High School and a 1957 graduate of St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing, Lancaster. She was a loving wife, a natural mother and grandmother, a proud nurse, a ready traveler, and an avid gardener. Because of the devotion of her longtime caregivers, Deborah Lebo and Adina Stewart, and lately, Damita Hoover and Malinda Stover, she was able to remain living at home during her lengthy illness which undoubtedly extended her life. A visitation will be held at St. Joseph's Church, 2945 Kingston Road, York, at 10 a.m. before a funeral mass on Wednesday, December 26. The John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 902 Mt.
