NEW FREEDOM John G. Kosko, Jr., 73, died Monday, December 24, 2012, at York Hospital. He was the husband of Eleanor M. (Liberto) Kosko. John and Eleanor celebrated 52 years of marriage in June 2012. Following cremation, visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 2, 2012, at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church (new church), 315 N. Constitution Ave., New Freedom. Funeral Liturgy will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the church with the Rev. Robert Nugent officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Born August 10, 1939, in Providence, R.I., he was the son of the late John G. Kosko, Sr. and the late Sue T. (Rauso) Kosko. John was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, New Freedom. He retired in 2001 from Reliable Liquors, Glen Bernie, Md., after 11 years. John previously worked for McCarthy-Hicks Distributors, Timonium, Md., for 29 years. He was an avid football fan. In addition to his wife, Eleanor, John is survived by three sons, John G. Kosko, III of Lusby, Md., Frank J. Kosko of Killeen, Texas, and David L. Kosko of York; one daughter, Sharon E. Garman of Lemoyne; six grandchildren; five stepgrand-children; one great-grandson; three brothers, Michael C. Kosko of Shrewsbury Township, Carl R. Kosko of York, and Robert C. Kosko of Loganville.
