YORK Thomas E. Moser, 59, was called into the presence of God on Saturday, December 29, 2012 from the York Hospital, with family by his side. He fought a courageous battle with illness. He was the husband of Joyce (Langley) Moser, with whom he shared 30 years. Born on May 25,1953, in York, he was the son of the late Kenneth E. Moser and Evelyn H. (Throne) Moser of West York. Thomas graduated from West York Class of 1971 and Robert Morris University in 1974. He resided in Israel for six months after college, then traveled to southern Europe. One of his favorite travel spots was Negirl, Jamicia, where he wed his wife. He was an avid fan of the Ravens and the Orioles. He belonged to the Zion United Church of Christ. Mr. Moser was a co-owner of Moser's Restaurant and the Ultra Violet "UVS". He was known as a "loving guy and a people person", who will be deeply missed. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Joyce Moser; a brother, John R. Moser and companion, Drinda Gibson, all of York; three cousins, Sue Bond, Jane Vangorder, and Beth Stump; two special nieces, Desiree, and Jennifer; and a host of family, including nieces, nephews, and friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday at 11 a. m. at the Zion United Church Of Christ, 100 Lafayette St., York, 17401, with the Rev. Philip K. Nace officiating. Memorial contributions may be sent to the SPCA, 3159 Susquehanna Trail North, York, PA 17406, to honor his love for animals. The Gladfelter Funeral Home, Inc., 822 E. Market St., York, is entrusted with the arrangements.
